This clerk had at least two opportunities to take it to this robber, one with a significant blunt object in his hand, but chose not to. He had a plan (use the tools), not sure if he had the skills (pretty easy to thump someone with a wrench), but he primarily did not have the attitude against this robber to stop him. So compliance was his best option and it worked out!

Cops used to call the use of the nightstick “hickory shampoo.” This store owner gave an armed robber the aluminum shampoo! He simply wasn’t having it, and that cracks me up.
