Hi! My name is Nate, and I am addicted to shotguns.
I am okay at pistols, and pretty good at the revolver game, but shotguns are my real drug of choice.
What are all you guys into most?
Looking forward to seeing how this place grows.

Hey Nate! I'm a pretty big fan of the shotgun as well! I am excited for the weather to turn a bit warmer so I can get out and do some work! Going to try a three gun competition this spring. My reloads will suck but I'll have a good time!
Even I am afraid of 3 gun style shotgun reloads. 😬😬
Hey Nate!
I'm a pistol guy primarily with a love hate relationship on the shotgun. I need to work on that more and make it more of a love.
That sounds like me and rifles. They make so much sense, and are super easy, but there just isn’t any passion in that relationship.
Yeah but I might know a guy that is a shotgun beast 😉
Pistolcraft here
Howdy! Steve here.
• Been a carbine guy all my life.
• Looking forward to shotgun.
• Was looking into CCW but -- things have gotten complicated.
• OC 24x7 except where prohibited by law. (Having a POM three-pack sent in advance to my hotel in an upcoming trip because POM is 10% and TSA only allows 2% in checked luggage.) I'll basically be without tools from the airport to the airport hotel.
• Favorite firearms activity is LRS -- lots of thinking, a bit of math, experience counts, and read the wind like a magician? Sign me up. Looking forward to hitting the white bull at Whittington.
I went and watched a local PRS match and immediately knew it was way too much for me. It looks heck of fun, but my shooting budget is already tapped. I will have to settle for watching. At least that gives me an opportunity to learn though.
Yeah, competition shooting of any kind is not for the fiscally faint of heart LOL. LRS is definitely an investment, even without competition expenses, but OMG so rewarding to ring steel after such a long hang time. Definitely not an art for every shooter -- more driven by Dopamine than Adrenaline.
Hey Steven, the 2% rule is for TEAR GAS, not for OC spray. You can check POM in your bag no problem! https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/pepper-spray#:~:text=One%204%20fl.,are%20prohibited%20in%20checked%20baggage.
Serioiusly?? How on Earth did I misread that??? LOL!
Gonna' hafta' go re-re--update myself, I guess. Thanks!
Not that I mind buying a three-pack off POM. I also bought three of the inert practice cannisters, and gave one trainer and one live POM to each of three friends on the last day of the event, so .... took this opportunity to spread a little POM love.
Good to know I didn't need to, though.
Hi, my name is Annette and I prefer pistols currently, I have a P365XL with red dot, P320 X Compact and HK VP9 and recently attended my first A Girl & A Gun conference and thoroughly enjoyed! My husband and I are hoping to go to your conference this year and very excited about that as well. We are both starting to go to competitions like Glock GSSF ( no hating, I'm not a fan of the Glock) Practice Saturdays, and USPSA as they are both close to home.
GSSF is something I need to give a try. One of the local clubs in my area holds a big GSSF match almost every year. I should get in on that game. I shoot Glocks almost exclusively for pistol these days.
Hello,
My spouse and I just got our CCW's and are supplementing our basic CCW requirements with practical training and research. I have a Sig P365 X-Macro with red dot (recommended by Mr. John) and she has a Hellcat, 1911, S&W M&P Bodyguard 380, and S&W CSX. Basically every time we go to the gun store she finds something new. In the YouTube world you'll see me comment as Z PLATES.
I want to signup for Firearms Legal Protection - is there a discount code made available to subscribers?
Looking forward to chatting with ya'll.
Hi Mike, sure is. use http://get-asp.com/flp and there's a discount.
Thanks. All signed up now. Thanks for the Holosun recommendation on YT.
Any time. Glad it's been helpful for you!
Actually just tried it for the first time yesterday. Great improvement - got all shots at the 7's or better (big improvement for me).
Hi all,
Former Navy Nuke/Engineer/Diver. Now a Federal Contractor. Just got into Pistolcraft ~6yrs ago as a self-defense practicality, but trying to advance my KSAs through dry-fire, live-fire, classes and some informal competitions. Love the ASP channel for showing the realities of real-world gunfights. Currently a NRA Basic Pistol Instructor, NRA CCW Instructor and Refuse to Be A Victim Instructor. Ultimately I'd love to make the leap to instructing on part-time, but my full-time job and family are quite demanding : )
Hi, I'm based in London, UK. So carrying firearms, OC, batons, blades etc is all 100% illegal. Doing so means major prison time. Self defence and personal safety training here is based around empty hand skills, improvised weapons and luck. I'm 54 and I've lived in the city my whole life. It's become a hive of violent crime. The stats on knife crime, rape, armed robberies are just through the roof. The London Met. Police are hugely under staffed. They manage the crime figures by dropping 1 in 4 emergency call's, regardless of the nature of the crime being committed. There's parts of London that have become truly lawless. Shootings, stabbings, etc. The UK is starting to see the type of opioid epidemic that has been seen in LA and BC. If your coming to London as a tourist please take care. It's not all tea and fish & chips !
Wally here, soon to retire in SE Louisiana, about an hour from New Orleans and Baton Rouge. If you ever find yourself in my area and want to do some shooting, let me know. I've got my own private pistol range. Here you can practice everything your local range doesn't allow. Work from the holster of your choice, rapid fire, shoot in awkward positions, practice reloads (even though civilians don't reload during gunfights), distances from point blank out to 40-50 yards, shoot from your vehicle, work with cover/concealment, shoot steel, basically anything that can be done safely. Mainly into pistols, but also have shotguns and rifles. Recently added a pistol caliber carbine, bought as a plinker, but may add it to our home defense plan.
Remember to stay safe and try to have some fun along the way.
Hey all,
Stuart here. Originally from the UK, but came to the states when I was kid. Family wasn't really into firearms, but I got exposed to them and hunting as a teenager and really enjoyed it. Have shot a wide range of firearms and have a few shotguns, rifles and handguns. Enjoy shooting them all, but prefer handgun, rifle and shotgun in that order. Wife and I are going to the ASP National conference this September, so hoping to learn a lot from John and his team!
