Hey all, John here. Thanks for being part of the ASP Unlimited app! Figured I would just say hi, and you'll see me in the comments here on the app quite a bit because the discussion is much better! I simply cannot keep up with the main channel comments and even ASPX is getting to be a lot.

So, any questions I can answer? The airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow? What's up with my hair? Glad to talk!

My question is about your OC training.

I have several friends and family members who have become interested in stepping closer into Self-Protection after seeing how inobtrusive carrying POM is for me.

I want them to get a good primer to go with it, and your monthly session on OC was absolutely spot on what I would recommend for them. But, of course, none of them are ASP Gold Patrons.

I'm not going to just hand out a copy of your video to folks who haven't paid for it, so....

Any recommendations on how to get your excellent training on OC into their hands? Is there a way for them to do a one-time, inexpensive replay of that video? Or do you have links to good OC trainers you'd trust which spans the country?

Looking for the best path to help my loved ones take that first step properly.

Hey John! Thanks for doing this. Here's my question:

As a fellow gentleman gifted with girth, I just can't figure out how to appendix carry after carrying strong side for the last few years. I carry a Glock 19 equivalent (Shadow Systems MR920 Long Slide - not a compact but not a huge gun either) with a claw holster (Phlster compatible) on a Kore belt. Sitting down is impossible if I try and run the gun up front. What am I doing wrong? Should I just take the plunge and get an Enigma?

I don't have teenagers yet, but i had a thought and then though of your history (not that i know, but the little you talk about on channel). If you have a mentally disturbed Teenager or i guess anyone who lives with you. What are some good protocols to follow to both keep things safe at home and still EDC?

Also, who's your second favorite fed?
Third, what would be your recommendation for trauma kits for cargo short pockets. I know you've linked something before, but i can't find it.

Newbie here. I've been practicing for about 7 months; I got my CCW here in Colorado back in December. When I'm carrying, so far, I have not been putting a round in the chamber yet because I'm afraid of making a rookie mistake (like an accidental discharge). My main purpose in carrying right now has been to get comfortable with the holster and the feel. In my mind I have been practicing so that one day I can actively carry for self defense.

I know there can be a variety of opinions on this - but I'm curious what you think.

As a new firearm enthusiast, I think it would be careless to be putting a round in the chamber before I am comfortable with firearms and know how to use them safely and confidently. But I think I'm getting there now.

Is there any question I can ask myself, or test / task I can perform to determine that I'm competent enough to carry with a round in the chamber now?

I have been going to the range about once a month, and now that I like my gear setup, this will increase to every other week.

TL;DR: When should a newbie transition to carrying a round in the chamber?

Are non-lethal weapons worth looking at? I have seen Byrna offers non-lethal but I am unsure if they are capable of stopping a threat completely.

Hey John just subscribed to this page but I have been following your YouTube for awhile. As a fellow Arizonian I was wondering if you have any recommendations for out of state carry. My daughter is starting college in San Francisco next month, yes I know Commiefornia but it is the best school for her degree. My question is do you know or can you recommend anyone that can tell me what she can carry to defend herself. I know a gun is out of the question, but what about OC, Taser, or knives? Any help you can give would be great. Thanks again for all you do.

Thanks for all your work. I've recently taken over as the security director for a high profile Jewish nonprofit organization and museum. I was hoping that you might have some recommendations for trainers that I can send our armed guards as well as for me to talk to about operations and planning (I was thinking about reaching out to Ed Monk)? If so, is there an email that would be better for me to write?

Hey John i was just watching your robbery video from a few days ago and was thinking what happens if you shoot bad guy 1 (who was at the casino machines) and bad guy 2 feels trapped and so might want to have a shoot out. Not that it's super practical, but legally what would be the case if you were to prop his buddy's body up to use a shield? I know would never happen, but just curious.
