ASP National Conference

I signed up for the ASP National Conference today. I "sort of" expected a confirmation email with further instructions, but nothing has come through. Will there be some sort of correspondence allowing me to pick which classes I want to take there?

Hi Troy! It’s not an automated process for the conference. You’ll get an email for sure but it might take a day or two. The registration email will come later for class requests.

Hey Troy, John is spot on but a detail that I’d add is that since all the registrations go through the camp, the first response you’ll get is from the Flint Hills Foster Teen Camp. With it being camp season right now they are buried with work so the response time may take a bit. Looking forward to spending some time with you!

Just a follow-up here. I got an email from Lisa. Clearly it is their "busy season" as it came in at nearly 1 a.m.

I am considering tent-camping at the site. Can anyone tell me if I'm out of my mind for thinking this, or should I just fork over the money for a hotel? I will be there Thursday night through Sunday night.

Man, she’s a trooper.

Camping onsite is not bad if you like tent living, OTHER than people stay up socializing so it can be less than tranquil until late. Not raucous or bawdy, but folks around the fire having a good time. :) You’re welcome to use the facilities in the dorms of course! It does save you the 20ish minute drive there and back every day!

Thanks John. That's likely what I'll do. I don't drink, but I enjoy socializing as much as the next old fuddy duddy, so I'm sure I'll fit right in. If it gets too late or too loud, I'll throw on some hearing protection, and sleep like a baby. :)

I'm curious about the 2024 conference as well. My wife and I would like to attend and I assume it's going to be around that same September timeframe. Will the details be announced at some time in the future with the ability to sign up?

Every time I click on the registration for the 2024 conference I get "404 not found". Is there another way to register? Please help.

We are working on it! The camp has been trying to get it set up and with a bunch of turnover there it’s been a challenge. Soon I promise.
