Dear ASP Crew:
I was four days late replying to a YT video and suspect my question went unanswered because it was buried.
I've been considering repeating the question here, to facilitate discussion and possibly even debate -- but I don't know for sure if this is the right place for that kind of dialogue.
On the plus side, the community here will, I'd expect, tend toward the more thoughtful and polite than the Internet Norm (okay, not exactly a high bar there, but it is what it is).
On the minus side, I feel the need to be cautious to ensure this place remains the place for high quality conversation. To paraphrase Mike, I don't want the phenomenon of the loss of that sense of community to be named after me :-)
Topping that off, my two most recent video replies here have been potentially contentious, and so I really, really, REALLY want to be careful to not throw too many rocks onto the path here.
So -- guidance from ASP leadership would be appreciated.
Where (perhaps this forum, perhaps not) is the best place to ask a question or have a discussion which might require some back-n-forthing?
Think of the mini-series you did on Good, Sane, Sober, Moral, and Prudent -- I really had a hard time understanding some elements of what qualified under that philosophy, so it took a rather extended set of conversations, notably including that mini-series, before I finally was able to grasp the liferope.
I don't know that you want that kind of long, trying dialogue here. Or maybe, because of the incredible quality of this community, maybe this is THE place to have that kind of conversation.
Not my castle; I humbly request guidance from the masters of the Keep.
