Looking to see what people's experience has been with customer support from firearms-related vendors. If what I'm encountering is normal, I guess I'll just deal with it, but if not, I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or just picking the wrong vendors.
I sent my pistol to Langdon Tactical to get a trigger job, RDO mounting plate installed, and spring weight adjustments done. There were some miscommunications about what the process was, and I requested clarifications multiple times; no answer. Got the gun back fine, none of my questions answered.
I'm looking to get another custom Kydex made from JMCustomKydex, but this one requires features not on the web site. Called them, and they repeat over and over again how E-Mail is the best way to contact them. I've E-Mailed them weekly for about a month and have no response. (Could just be the holidays, but... nothing since December 8th. Just fueling the WTx engine here.)
I've had a few smaller, but similar, encounters with various vendors out there.
Is this just normal in the gun community? "Hey, we'll sell you stuff but we're too busy to actually take care of you." ?
I mean, if that's the norm, then I guess I'll just manage my expectations. But this seems really odd in a community where you'd expect folks to be more close-knit due to our common enemy (overreaching governance). But maybe I'm wrong.
Just curious what other folk's experiences have been.
