Back in 1982, Kennesaw, GA, had issues with crime and decided to pass legislation that REQUIRED every household to have a weapon and ammunition. Crime fell 75% the first year and 50% the next year. Kennesaw is a global tourist attraction as other countries believe it is the Wild West over there, just to see that it is a regular city. This is an unenforceable law as police searching your house is a 4th Amendment violation, but home invaders and burglars have to assume that you have a weapon. Thoughts?

I think it’s more apocryphal than anything else. Crime is down all over for one, and there are confounding factors. I also don’t like the government telling people what they have to buy.
