For starters...thoughts on the X-Stat: "XSTAT works by injecting small, rapidly-expanding sponges into a wound cavity using a syringe-like applicator"?
Sounds promising. Haven't heard any ASP host comments on it. I see the xstat is CoTCCC recommended.
I just think it’s pretty bulky for a carry kit. For a range bag it might be useful though!
I have a follow-up question.
I ordered the Mountain Man ankle IFAK that you mention a lot in your vids and wear it anytime I have shoes on. I presume the components (the sealed dressings, mostly) have a shelf life.
Is there a recommended replacement schedule? Does Mountain Man sell... I dunno... "refill kits"?
I will hit up their web site but Mr. Bruns' question made me think about this, figured I'd ask. Because you're likely to know and I'm lazy. :-D
The chest seals have an expiration date as does the chito gauze. So check those and buy replacements as needed.
