Is there recommended app to provide real-time alerts or advisories for where there might be rioting, civil unrest, or just generally unsafe areas so that it can be used to avoid those areas altogether?
I haven’t seen one that I can endorse.

My company has the Factal app. But they pay for it....not me. I assume its pay to play. But that app has been quite interesting.

Yeah I kinda figured. I have Factal on my personal cell and work tablet as part of the work deal and sort of took having the app for granted....that is the app DOES have a cost its just someone else is footing the bill. I was hoping they had a low cost or ad based option for you. Great original question!!
